So, I hope all you east coast ladies are doing OK. I'm thinking about you lots and hoping that you're all safe somewhere (not in a car) and enjoying some adult beverages. I hope that no one's house is flooded. Please, send us updates, so those of us not there know that you're ok.
That being said, I'm a little jealous that we're not all together for 4 days of drinking during a natural disaster.
Love you all so much.
~E.
(PS - I hope everyone's families are doing ok, too.)

Yes! I like the "let us know how you're doing" idea. To echo McSpadden, I hope you're all spending this wet time wetting your throats. Do some mushrooms for old times sake! And then let's roll a joint and sprinkle adderall and nutmeg in it. Or not. Haha.
So I'm totes celebrating Boozicaine old-school style with many beverages, dancing, and epic hairography. In fact, I am currently nursing a sweet hangover that was quite well-earned... to give you a brief idea: one round of drinks last night arrived in a bucket of fire. The downside: rather than holed up in a mayhem house in Petworth eating pancakes and bourbon for breakfast, I am now in the second hour of a rather action-packed day here in Geneva, much of which will be spent talking about torture, which is not helping my nausea situation....We'll also be at the WTO later and trade law illicits similar feelings. I think I talked to Liz, Nicky, and Wick about this, but I'm at the 49th UNCAT session as a legal researcher, and today the Committee is reviewing Peru, which is my country of speciality. The girl next to me appears to still be drunk, but we were suited up and fielding questions at 8 AM. Game ON!
As to the worst news I've heard since the military torture cases that were just highlighted a few minutes ago, the Moon House is almost certainly gone.
You guys may recall Fred's Tavern: http://inagist.com/all/262992474547572736/
We don't think there's any way that the house isn't destroyed. The upside: they were going to renovate it anyway. The downside: they were planning to save the stained glass windows, the big hobbit door, etc, which may not be possible... and we didn't get to say goodbye. Thank you so much to Liz and Becca for joining us up there a few weeks back. I'm so grateful (in an entirely new way now) that we got to spend that time there together.
I talked to Matt late last night-he still had power and seemed fine. DC families and friends seem to be safe.
Happy Halloween ladies! Send me pics of your costumes!
Lots of love.
Trevor and Sprocket and I are all fine! We waited for the power to go out all day yesterday and lived by statements like "we should do _____ now, before the power goes out," but it only flickered a few times. Last night we drank pumpkin beer, played checkers, and watched "Seeking a friend for the end of the world". Wooo. I guess we were a little gun shy from the Derecho over the summer. I've had two days off work and I am very ready to go back tomorrow. No mushrooms, but lots of fall-themed junk food and wearing of pajamas!
So glad to hear everyone's alright and sad to hear about The Moon House. I'm going to look at old Stone Harbor pics and think positive thoughts.
Not been up to too much here. Working on a rebranding campaign for Martha and Evie stood for the first time today! Good stuff.
Happy almost-Halloween everyone! Miss you!
Glad to hear everyone is ok, but I'm so sad to hear about the Moon House. Also, Erica, holy crap you make me feel like I'm wasting my life.
Also, I miss you guys so much.
Evie is standing!!! That's so exciting. I'm so primed to make legal jokes about her having standing.
Also, Moon House update- initial reports indicate that there's no major damage. This is further evidence that the 20's is a truly awesome decade.
