New Year's Eve?
So, it's looking like Nick and I will be in DC from Dec 20 - Jan 3. I'll be there the whole time (no NC trip -- too much work), so let's do lots of things!
Also, is NYE together still a thing we're trying to do? I don't want to keep pushing it, if you guys are all tired of trying to organize (especially since I never have to host). But when it happens, it's definitely the highlight of my year :) So, I just wanted to see who would be around and interested in trying to do something together.

MCS- dude if you're coming for NYE we'll erect a structure to host a party if needed. Other than work on my spring symposia and ad hoc article stuff, I have essentially nothing from 12/8 to 1/5. I'm SO ready for fanfare. Seriously though, my first thought is fancy dinner at Matt's and my place? We have so much wedding china that we've never used and it would be fun to do it. We could keep it intimate. That's just a first idea- but we're up for anything!! Liz threatened to leave town, but I'm pretty sure NNTM is around and probs Gwyn? Will Wick still be in Iceland?
Jesse and I booked our flight back specifically so we would be back in time for NYE :) WE will get back on the 29th! Can't wait to see you spads! That said, I may be working at 8am on New Years Day :( so may not be available to host, but if I'm working later on New Years day, then hosting would be a possibility. Nice dinner sounds sweet! Love you guys!

Hooray! I'm definitely around, and can't wait to see all of you guys. I leave a few days after that for a week in San Diego... So it'll be nice to get in some good friend times before what'll be a really hectic week!

I would love to make it to DC for NYE. I'm not seeing it as viable, however... last year I got super lucky and was gifted a free round trip plane ticket. This year I've made less money, already flown East once recently, and am going to be spending my time in a less exciting way: traveling to Texas to get discount dental work done. Let's please try to keep doing the NYE thing though!!! That's our THING! If I can find a way, I too will come this year. :)

I second that, Erica. Abby does have a great outlook. I hope to be around, but there is talk of spending some time that would fall over NYE with Trevor's grandparents. My whereabouts on NYE is TBD! That was bad. Even if I am out of town on that night, I'll still be in the area on surrounding dates. So, I can't wait to see those of you who will be here!
