Election...

So ladies...As you are all intelligent, political, socially-conscious women of today, I'm curious to know what you all are thinking as the real countdown to the election starts?

I am disgusted by Sarah Palin. McCain came off as an old inarticulate turtle with tourettes during the debate. OBAMA is the only defensible choice in this election, unless he's the antichrist.

I was really impressed with how calm, informed, and down to Earth John McCain was. I didn't appreciate the policies he would continue/implement (war and ecomony-wise, especially) but I liked him.
Obama seems to have changed a bit from the man who first sold me on the "Yes We Can!" rhetoric. Doesn't seem to be as honest, easy-going, common-sensey as he used to. More squabbly. I want him to just be himself. I feel like he's turning into an old white guy, not a dude we can all relate to. But he's still my man.

McCain relied heavily on belittling Obama during the 1st debate. It was obvious that he was trying to make him look naive, but Obama did a nice job (in my eyes) proving him wrong. I am a little bit worried that people will panic about the terrorism issue and vote for McCain just because of all the military experience he has. I am hoping that voters who are on the fence are feeling the effects of the recesion enough to realize that we cannot afford to stay in Irag indefinitely. Every time McCain went off on some story, trying to make some emotional connection with the public or something, I rolled my eyes. The best part of the debate was watching the SNL skit the following night. I also enjoy Tina Fey as Sarah Palin. Really, McCain does not scare me as much as Palin does. Check out Sara Benincasa on youtube. Her Sarah Palin "Vlogs" are hilarious and spot on.
