I feel guilty for writing this at work...

But I did it anyway (but did not take the time to edit, so apologies for insane run-on sentences and ridiculous amounts of parentheses):

Dearest Quadlings,

Hi :) I miss you guys so much.

Abby inspired me to write :) I, too, want to know more about your long distance boy and future career plans ;).

Also, I was wondering if you guys would be interested in 'hanging out' via Google+ sometime soon for a video chat. My sisters and I have had semi-reasonably good conversations with it. I'd really like to catch up with you all, but I'm really bad (as you know) about using the telephone :) And I think we'd all love to meet Evie. If you guys are interested, maybe Nicky could give us 3-4 dates/times (don't forget to specify which time zone you're using ;)) in the near future that might work for her and Evie (i.e. aren't nap times :)), and we can vote on which works best. What do you guys think? Nicky, is this something that's doable or way too annoying to even consider right now? If the latter, no worries :) We won't be offended.

Also, brief life update: Nothing really new. I'm still working for Friendship with Cambodia. I still really like it (as far as nonprofit office jobs go). My boss is an amazing human being. We talk about spirituality a lot. She just got back from her annual trip to India where she lives in an ashram for 3 mos every year. She still cries when she reads the profiles of the students we sponsor, even though she's been doing this for years. And she's actually able to be a good manager and a good friend at the same time.... shocking.

I'm still taking Latin and Greek. It's recommended that you have 3 yrs of one and 2 yrs of the other to get into any good Classics grad school program, so I'll be here another year, doing that :) Just FYI, in case you guys want to visit -- you have until, like, July 2013 (assuming, of course, that I actually get accepted into a graduate program - Though, if I don't get into one in the States, I've pretty much decided to go to a 'backup' program overseas. It can get pricey for Americans over there, as we are v unlikely to get funded, whereas, in the States, it's pretty much a given for what I do, in that, if you can't get funded, probably, you're going in the wrong direction ;) So either way, I'm probably leaving Oregon).

Nick is doing well. Though, Climate Clean (the company based here that he was working for) is not doing so well and is pretty much 'paying' him in stock. He was working for a research project as a consultant, but that ends this month, so he's doing a job search (PS - He's not that good at it ;) He's not really ever actively had to look for a job before and didn't start until, like, last week even though he knew this research project was ending and even though his brilliant girlfriend told him it would take longer than a month to find a job in Oregon... *sigh*). I'll keep you guys posted on how that's going :)

Ziggy's still doing well, though I definitely notice him slowing down on hikes.

I might be in DC sometime mid-late July. I'm planning my trip home for Bit's wedding and am considering visiting my top choice grad schools (NETWORKING like a motherfucker) while I'm over there. If I make it through DC, it'll only be for, like, 48 hrs, I think, but I'll def keep you guys posted.

Love and miss you all so, so, so very much.

I'm so glad you are doing well Erin and Abby! That is awesome! I would love to have a google plus chat date! Also, if you are coming in July Erin, maybe that would be a good time for Liz's bachelorette party? Liz?? I do have a visitor from England (Alastair) coming to visit me in July, he is currently in the process of booking his flights, so now would be a good time to tell him what dates would not be good for him to visit if I had other quad prenuptial celebrations to be at :). Erin do you know when you will be visiting?
PS. Jesse and I have a pet Conure (bird) now and we have a duck in the backyard that we adopted for our friend Becky, soon to be a farm duck, and I'm fostering bunnies. Check out our facebook Easter family picture :)

It's so good to hear from y'all! I would love to Gchat or Skype or whatever works. Unfortunately Evie may or may not make an awake appearance as she sleeps about 14 hrs a day right now, and kind of unpredictably. I'm home for sure full time for the next 2 months and I've had some time to myself from about noon to 4 most days. What about you all?

Would perhaps a Saturday or Sunday between noon and 4 (assuming mountain time, or whatever it is that you're on) work? If so, what do the next few weekends look like for you.

Yes, everything sounds wonderful! So many fantastic blog things are happening! Springtime flowers! Inbound karaoke-dominating Brits! A new man in a van! Who could ask for more?

Abby is much better at providing entertaining updates, but I'll try. I have no anecdotes, but everything in my life is wonderful and fulfilling. Administrative Law Review's upcoming fall symposia are trucking through the early stages. "Exec read" for our upcoming book starts tomorrow. This is my first one as a new Exec Board member and apparently it takes forever as each member reads the entire publication (600+ pages) for minuscule edits (extra spaces, etc). I have no journalism background, but I'm excited to learn. PILPG is making great headway on the National Human Rights Action Plan that we're drafting for an African state, but I will no longer be working for that organization as of mid-May. I just felt like there were other things I wanted to pursue. The Inter-Journal Olympics (where AU's law reviews compete in exciting events like sack races and poorly-concealed animosity towards each other) are tomorrow, which I have the unfortunate pleasure of Co-Chairing (because I'm so athletic?...), and orientation for new journal members is Sunday. I finish up my judicial internship at the Immigration Court in one short week. It has been the most wonderful experience and I do not want to leave, but I start at DHS on April 23. I'm also in the thick of exams and papers that will make the next two weeks... eventful.

Tiny, our new/very old Min Pin, probably has cancer and was given 2 months to live about 5 weeks ago. It's a long story. She is an absolutely wonderful little creature, so please keep her in your thoughts that she may be comfortable and happy during her last few weeks.

Matt leaves July 2 :-(.

I second Becca W's inquiry regarding that dates of Lizzie's celebration. I'm down to 1 free weekend in June and 3 in July for the Summer. I am more than happy to plan around Liz's event, but I need to know what date it is to do that!

The weather is beautiful! I miss you all oodles.

You are all so amazing! Seriously. I love getting these updates!

I have officially been working for MCPS for over a year and plan to continue for at least another year or two, but everytime I do some continuing ed I get ideas about switching settings to early intervention (babies!) or vision therapy or something. Trevor and Sprocket and I renewed our lease and will be at our Chevy Chase Apt for another year as well. I also do a lot of future daydreaming about having a house with a yard and getting a second dog. Exciting stuff, haha. I just got back from visiting Molly in Austin and Trevor and I have our engagement photos this Sunday. As you can tell by my last minute email regarding bachelorette party dates, I am doing some wedding planning procrastinating ;)

I love Erin's idea about +ing or skypechats or gtalks! I can do tomorrow or, like, 7pm EST weeknights, or next weekend.
