Finally, my grad school decision has been made.....drumrolllllllllll
I'm going to Shenandoah University for OT! Basically the exact same thing and same University as Liz because she is so cool and I can't stay away from the coolness of Liz. I also decided that it was a better idea for me (and Jesse) for me to stay here in this area and start school this year and not wait another year and move to random places like New Mexico or Washington in order to get in state tuition.
so, while I originally told Shenandoah that I would like to defer my enrollment, I recently contacted them (6 weeks after declining my acceptance) in hopes that they might accept my indecisive self. They told me they were full, then I sent them a deposit check, and magically, yesterday, somebody else declined admissions, so they accepted me again!!! woohooo a 200% acceptance rate to SU. I don't think they knew what they were doing when they reaccepted me, but I am happy :)
I think I made a wise decision. It also means we will be here in Maryland area for 2 more years! And we are planning to move out west permanently for my fieldwork experience in Summer 2013--somewhere like Portland or Boulder:)
I just hope my horrible study habits and procrastination don't kick my ass.
Also, things with Jesse are great and we just had an amazing trip to Montreal and stayed with a really nice couple that I met in India. they showed us a free place to park and cooked delicious food.
I will attach a couple of pictures for your viewing pleasure
I can't wait to see you all in a couple of short weeks!!!!

Yay Becca! Yay cool Liz! Yay singing video! Yay seeing you guys soon!
Great post! Thanks for the update and congratulations on getting back in after you changed your mind!
When was that video from? It looks NYE-ish with Erica's head garb, but I don't believe I've missed a NYE with you all in quite a while, so hmm...
That's such a great video. I had friends over when I saw this, and I was trying to explain the awesomeness of the people and what they were doing, but I don't think it was understood. Kenny's only comment was "they look really drunk", and I'm like, "well, yes obviously, but it's Swing Low, Sweet Chariot!" , and he looked at me quizzically and went back to talking to Nick.
But also, congrats, Becca! I wish you were coming here, but I'll stop being selfish :) I guess you'll be moving to Virginia? It's a really pretty place. I actually didn't know I'd ever been there until Kelly told me recently that we went there a year or two ago to look at leaves. I had no idea! We could have gone to see Liz :( So when he told me, I was very retroactively sad to have missed seeing her in her then-native habitat. So, sorry, Liz! But, should this circumstance arise in the future, I will know, and we will come see you! :)
It sounds like other life things are going well, too! I hope it continues to do so.
mwah!
