So, with firecrotch setting off on Oregon trail in a few weeks, the Diaspora (part deux) begins. In preparation for Matt's & my upcoming nuptials, I wanted to see roughly when people are going to be where to begin bachelorette/shower date planning. Since I'll be in law school (epic groan) from Jan 10ish-May 12ish, there was talk of having these events during the holiday season super far in advance to prevent them from interfering with school and to accommodate a time when more of my favorite folks will be in town. Since the quad is always the hardest to pin down, and they are super-important to me, I wanted to see if you guys had any idea what your plans are like during that time, or if there's a random mid-April DC trip in the works etc.
If you could reply letting me know whether you're planning to be in DC Christmas 2010/ what your flexibility would be to arrive in DC (or some other location yet to be determined) between December-April 2011.
A thousand kisses,
Erica

Good advance planning, Stokar!
I wasn't planning on being in DC then, but perhaps I will be, if you choose to have your fun time parties then. Actually, I think that sounds like a great plan. Why don't we think about having NYE celebrations back in DC, too, if bachelorette stuff is in DC? From the look of things I am going to be living on my credit cards and loans for a while, so multiple trips within the same week would be really difficult to finance.
As far as Spring parties, I don't imagine being able to attend unless they were after the end of the school year. Which is close to wedding date and perhaps too hairy.
My vote is for early parties, holiday style. :)
Love, Abby
I will be in Oklahoma for Christmas. And I was planning on spending New Years with you guys :). I don't really have time off until spring break (i believe it is sometime in April) and then at the end of the school year in June :(. Having a real job sucks!!!
I plan to be in DC for Christmas! The only day I know I can not do anything is Saturday December 10 because that is graduation. I am not sure where I will be come spring - depends on where I find a job!
The only days when I wouldn't be able to make it into town would be December 3-7. I'm going to be over in Vancouver for a conference! Besides that, it's safe to assume I'll be around during the holiday season for almost a month (gasp!) so I should be able to see the DC peeps as much as you'd like.
Also, my NYE is, as always, reserved for you guys!
Oh yeah... Also I could make it down just about any time in the spring, with enough warning. It's not so long a trip!
so first: excellent new decorations on the quad blog.
RE: advance plans: i think i could tentatively say yes to holiday plans. i heard rumors of colorado for nye. i will be in nc for christmas. can i wait and see what the job situation is before committing definitely? give me, like, a month and i'll be a little more definite ...
