I don't usually do these...but I've read 50. 50! And I remember almost all of them. Craziness. I can't believe I ever had that much time! (Also, I think 6 is a gross understatement. I read at least 10 in high school.) What about you all?

I've read 47 of these... What was kinda sad is that for a few of them, I started to put down an X, then realized I'd never actually finished it (but I'd started them numerous times - Middlemarch, Gone with the Wind, Catch 22, War and Peace, etc. Crud.) The other really depressing thing is that I HAVE read the entire Bible. *shudder*
Oh and... Yeah, the six seems unbelievably low. Then again, here's an excerpt of a conversation I just had with the guy I was (up until this moment) starting to date:
I'm hanging out on his couch, reading a book and waiting for him to get back from work on his lunch break. He walks in, sees the book, and says the following:
"Jeeze... I mean, you do realize I have a TV, right?"
A few minutes later, after chatting about some other stuff:
"You have more books in your backpack right now," (3 of them, by the way,) "than I have in my entire apartment."
Ouch.
Yeah, that would have been (and has been) a deal breaker for me too.
Example, from a first (and last) date of mine when I first moved to Baltimore...
Him: So, what do you like to do when you're not working?
Me: Well, I love music and reading...
Him: Reading? (Laughter) Man, the last time I read a book was high school! Like, freshman year until I realized I could read Spark Notes.
Me: So, nothing? You never read?
Him: Well, Craigslist, I don't know.
Me (thinking): Crap! Stop meeting men in bars Nicky.
